Aashwin started Cortex after building an AI version of one of his professors from 23 transcribed lectures, his notes, and the way the professor actually argued. Hundreds of classmates used it the night before an exam, more than a thousand conversations in a single night. The lesson was that people do not want a generic answer. They want a specific person’s judgment, on demand.

At Cortex he leads product, engineering, and the company: the psychology-first interview, the extraction pipeline that turns what you have written and said into a brain, and the clone that answers as you across chat, REST, MCP, and voice. He also sells it, and talks to every company that pays for it.

Aashwin was selected for Entrepreneur First, admitted to the Solo Founders SF Residency, completed Founders Inc Canopy, attended YC Startup School, and interviewed with Y Combinator. He sits on the board of Boardy AI.
