What Cortex is, and who operates it
The product
You give Cortex what you have already written and said: documents, voice recordings, AI chat exports, and connected accounts you approve. Cortex extracts that into a structured brain — knowledge, judgment, style, and identity kept as separate layers — and then answers as you.
That brain is reachable five ways:
- A public clone page anyone you share it with can talk to.
- A REST API for your own software.
- An MCP endpoint, so agents like Claude Code and Cursor can consult you.
- Spoken replies in your own cloned voice.
- A meeting agent that can answer on your behalf in a live call.
What we deliberately do not do is train models on your data, or let content from other people merge into your own memory. Both are explained in detail on Trust.
