Personal MCP agent: let AI tools query you

A personal MCP agent is a Model Context Protocol endpoint that answers as a specific person. Cortex provides /mcp/{username} with tools such as query_person, get_profile, get_expertise_on, and get_communication_style.

Why MCP matters for personal AI

Agents already call tools. Without a personal endpoint they guess your voice from a short system prompt.

MCP lets those agents pull judgment from your Cortex brain, under the access rules you set.

What you need

A Cortex profile with enough onboarding and sources to answer honestly.

An API key for the agents you trust, or a public profile if anyone may ask.

The MCP setup steps in the developer docs at makecortex.com/docs/mcp. MCP is included on every paid plan.
